Sarah is based in SELC’s D.C. office, where she works at the federal level to build and advance SELC’s resilience priorities. She also advocates for clean water protections and connects regional SELC work to federal developments.
“I enjoy being a part of an organization that is rooted in our Southern communities and utilizes a wide range of solutions to empower people and nature to thrive together,” Sarah said.
“I am excited to be a part of an organization that operates deeply at many levels: working with community leaders and residents on local projects, crafting state policies and solutions, and translating that work to federal advocacy. This is especially vital to enhancing climate resilience that relies on ranges of policies, from hyperlocal neighborhood planning to big federal infrastructure investment decisions.”
Sarah lives in northeast D.C., but says her heart remains in her South Carolina hometown: “Charleston is home and will always be a special place.”
