Robby Maynor
Climate Campaign Associate
Robby advocates at the local and state level for policies and projects to mitigate climate change and increase community preparation. Robby also works internally across programs to develop strategic advocacy campaigns. He is based in Charleston and works with SELC’s South Carolina, Tennessee, and Alabama offices.
“I am most excited about the dedication and enthusiasm for place-based work at SELC,” he said. “I love working directly with people to find and advance real solutions to the issues facing their communities.”
Robby is a lifelong resident of the South Carolina Lowcountry. He loves the Edisto River, “one of South Carolina’s last remaining wild rivers and one of the longest free-flowing blackwater rivers in North America,” he said. “I have been fishing, swimming and paddling the Edisto my entire life, but it is still a constant source of mystery and amazement.”
Through SELC, Robby values “the opportunity and resources to effectively advocate for the people and places I love most,” he said. “I truly believe it is one of the most effective environmental organizations in the South, and I am honored every day to be a part of this amazing team.”
