Renee Clark

Director of Annual Giving

Renee plans the annual giving strategy in support of SELC’s goals. Her multifaceted fundraising program engages and upgrades donors while broadening SELC’s base of individual support. Renee also creates and oversees the annual giving outreach strategy, coordinating with marketing and development communications on direct marketing, email, phone, television, and digital media appeals and communications.

The frontline work of SELC is never far from her mind. “I am so proud of our bipartisan view on protecting the environment,” Renee said. “It allows us to make decisions that are mission aligned. We represent the people and environment of our region and that leads us, guides us, and keeps us focused on the right thing to do.”

As a lifelong southerner, Renee says, “I work for SELC because I want to ensure that the air that my nieces breathe and water that they drink are clean and protected.”

Renee enjoys exploring throughout the SELC region and particularly liked visiting Kiawah River and the International African American Museum in Charleston. “It is now a place I love because of its commitment to sharing the history of Black people in this country and preserving a rare natural ecosystem.”
