Libbie Weimer

Senior Geospatial Analyst

Libbie is always working to add to SELC’s knowledge base and increase our ability to use data to understand how people interact with their environment. Her strong analytical background allows her to employ programming-based solutions for managing and developing geospatial data. With data in hand, she uses cartography and design skills to create maps and other custom data visualizations. Her data visualizations rely on the synthesis of scientific research and environmental reports, arming SELC’s attorneys with the most up-to-date information.

She gained much of this experience helping other environmental non-profits, including consulting with the Environmental Defense Fund, New Economy Coalition, and Clean Energy Works.

Now Durham-based, Libbie has called North Carolina home for years. She holds particular affection for the nearby Eno River, which provides her a guaranteed quick reconnection to nature, close to home. 

I work at SELC because of my commitment to social change and achieving environmental justice in the South.
