Office:

Charlottesville, VA – Virginia Office

Katie Storer

Legal Practice Administrator

Katie assists the Program Director, the Litigation Director, and provides backup regional legal support. She supports and coordinates regional legal assistant training, organizes program budgets and work plans, oversees regional legal assistant initiatives, and edits, formats, and files legal documents.

“I like football, and one of my favorite plays is a goal line stand. That’s what I think SELC does and that’s what makes it such a powerful place to work. We’re oftentimes the final line of defense against environmental harms on our own turf.”

Originally from West Virginia, she grew up in Charlottesville and, as a teenager, noticed the sign for SELC’s office on the downtown mall and thought it would be a cool place to work. After graduating college and working for ten years as a paralegal in various places, she started with SELC. She believes the law is the most effective avenue to give natural places the protection they need.

Katie enjoys sharing her love of the outdoors with her family — whether that be working in her garden, hiking in the Shenandoah, or swimming at the beach in the Outer Banks.
