Jamie McClintock

Office:

Birmingham, AL

Jamie McWilliams

Associate Attorney

Based in her hometown of Birmingham, Jamie researches legal questions and strategies for current and potential litigation under the Clean Water Act, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Clean Air Act, the Endangered Species Act, and state laws.

“I am most proud of SELC’s work to enforce environmental laws and regulations on industrial polluters and to hold industrial polluters responsible for their discharges and emissions that harm nearby communities and ecosystems,” she said.

Jamie prepares, reviews, drafts, and edits aspects of current litigation such as discovery, motions, and briefs. She also drafts and edits comment letters to Alabama’s environmental agencies.

“SELC encourages creative thinking and problem solving,” she added. “Working for SELC means that two days are never the same. I get to constantly learn and grow as an attorney and as an environmental advocate. I am very grateful to be able to give back to my hometown by working for SELC.”

The Great Smoky Mountains are special to Jamie. “I have always loved hiking and camping in the Appalachians, and my husband and I got married right outside of Great Smoky Mountains National Park,” she said.
