Brenda Mallory
Former Chair, Council on Environmental Quality under the Biden Administration
Ms. Mallory has had a 40-year career in environmental and natural resources law and policy in the public and private sectors. She was SELC’s former Director of Regulatory Policy, and was Executive Director and Senior Counsel for the Conservation Litigation Project and the General Counsel for the White House Council on Environmental Quality for the Obama Administration. She has served on boards and advisory committees of Women in Conservation Leadership, Environmental Policy Innovation Center, Environmental Law Institute, Environmental Defense Fund, and Center for Climate Energy Solutions. Ms. Mallory currently sits on the Board of Regents for the American College of Environmental Lawyers, and is a Trustee and member of the Executive Committee, Westover School, Middlebury, CT. She serves on several governance bodies of community organizations focused on education, social justice issues, and mentoring and resilience building efforts targeting law students and young professionals. Ms. Mallory is a graduate of Yale University and earned her JD from Columbia Law School.
