Andrew Jackson

Annual Giving Coordinator

Andrew assists in planning and executing outreach to SELC’s newest supporters. He tracks results and analyzes outcomes as part of his project management responsibilities. He collaborates with fundraising and communications teams to integrate messaging across channels. He also welcomes and recognizes donors, especially annual donors.

“I work for SELC to provide my expertise and creativity with design, communications, and fundraising, and be more engaged with the science of fundraising,” Andrew said. “Not only do I work with attorneys to fight for our rights to natural and clean resources, but I also get to identify new donors through our work and steward recurring donors. Raising funds to support SELC’s mission for environmental victories means the work of environmental justice can take a step further.”

Born and raised in Sarasota, Andrew has lived in North Carolina since 2007. The history, weather, and opportunities of the Tar Heel State make it his favorite place. “A lot of who I am, and my core beliefs were shaped here in this state,” he said.

Andrew is most excited about SELC’s Broken Ground podcast “because it explores and highlights the environmental injustices that occur in the South, with a clear objective to bring awareness to the issues we face within an ecosystem, but via storytelling in a more in-depth manner.”
