Alexis Bishop

Marketing Manager

Alexis manages the strategic and operational functions of the marketing team, including budgets and advertising strategy, while identifying innovative opportunities to expand brand recognition and deepen SELC’s connection with target audiences. Leveraging a robust background in branding and advertising, Alexis integrates her creative acumen and exceptional organizational skills to amplify SELC’s environmental mission across all marketing initiatives.

In her role, Alexis manages the core of SELC’s marketing efforts, from overseeing planning and ad campaigns to operations, performance analysis, and key sponsorships. She also collaborates with the development and design teams to produce and market the prestigious Reed Award Program.

“As a lifelong nature enthusiast and historian, I firmly believe that a profound understanding of our past is essential for responsible environmental stewardship and present action. Every decision we make today shapes the environment we leave behind for future generations.”

Outside of work, Alexis is a dedicated native plant gardener and a passionate history enthusiast. A lifelong Richmond resident, she treasures time spent rock-hopping along the James River at Pony Pasture and finds inspiration near her favorite natural destinations: Big Meadows in the Shenandoah Valley and the big sandy beaches and wetlands of Emerald Isle, NC.
