Kevin Lyskowski
Deputy General Counsel
Kevin works with SELC’s leadership and staff to ensure legal compliance, minimize risks, and enable SELC to execute its mission. “I’ve dedicated my career to advancing the public interest—there’s no place I’d rather leverage that experience now than here at SELC,” Kevin said.
Before joining SELC, Kevin served for five years as the general counsel of a federal agency that oversees safety at nuclear facilities such as the Savannah River Site in South Carolina. Prior to that, he led a division of the Department of Labor’s Office of the Solicitor and worked as an environmental litigator at the Department of Justice.
Kevin has also worked as a litigator in the private sector, where he represented nonprofit groups such as the Sierra Club. He is originally from Connecticut and has lived in the D.C. area for more than two decades.
Kevin’s favorite hikes are through Sky Meadows Park in Virginia. “The views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding countryside are amazing,” he said.
