Lauren Suchan

Office:

Charlottesville, VA – Virginia Office

Lauren Suchan

Legal Administrative Assistant II

Lauren supports four attorneys across multiple program areas in the Charlottesville office. She works with the Land and Community team on projects relating to defending and advancing cleaner transportation. She also supports attorneys in collecting information related to our ongoing emerging contaminants work. She collaborates with attorneys and other support staff to prepare for hearings, appearances, and other presentations. She also coordinates the summer interns’ work.

“I have always been passionate about protecting and preserving our natural world and being sure it is still thriving for future generations’ enjoyment,” she said. “Nature is a gift we should not take for granted, and SELC is on the front line of the effort to help strike a balance between the needs of our modern human world and preserving and protecting our natural world.”

A special place for Lauren is First Landing State Park in her hometown of Virginia Beach. “The shaded trails through bald cypress swamps on one side of the park, and the sunny and open beach on the Chesapeake Bay on the other, show contrasting and beautiful sides of my hometown and of the South that some people never get to experience,” she said.
