No one voted for dirty air and water.

The Trump administration is trying to dismantle our bedrock environmental protections. But here at the Southern Environmental Law Center, we’re fighting back – in the courtroom, the halls of government, and our communities.

With four decades of experience and more than 130 legal and policy experts, we’re standing with our partners and the people across the South to protect the healthy environment we all depend on because no one voted for dirty air and water.

Be part of the fight ahead. Support this critical work.

The Trump administration is working swiftly to tear down environmental protections, with no regard for the consequences, so we’re jumping into action. But we can’t do it without your help.

Together, we can champion ambitious climate action, fight back in the courts to uphold essential environmental protections, and work hand-in-hand with communities to defend our clean air and water.

Fired ferderal employees are public servants, our neighbors, and important members of our Southern communities. And when already underfunded agencies lose even more capacity, the consequences will hit hard in the South, where pollution levels are high, and state agencies already often lack the funding and staff to hold polluters accountable.

Stand up for our public lands workers

No one voted for the destruction of our public lands. The Trump administration’s decision to recklessly fire thousands of public lands workers puts our national parks, forests, and wildlife refuges at risk. Stand up for our public lands and the people who protect them.

TAKE ACTION

Our system of environmental safeguards is shaped by more than the policy whims of any president and we’re ready to do whatever it takes to prevent this wishlist for polluters from becoming a reality.

As we look ahead to the next four years, we must defend our environmental protections. And here at SELC, we don’t shy away from hard work or an important fight.
