The SouthEastern Lacrosse Conference (SELC) is pleased to announce that Georgia Tech will host to the 2004 SELC Championship. The SELC returns to Atlanta for the second year in a row.

On April 23rd, 24th and 25th, Georgia Tech will be the site of the best of Southeastern Lacrosse. Games will be played at the athletic complex on Ferst Drive (next to the Olympic Diving Facility). Quarterfinals will begin Friday evening at 5:45 PM and concluded at approximately 10 PM. Semifinals begin at 12 on Saturday with the last game on Saturday beginning at 8 PM, under the lights. The SELC championship game will be Sunday at 2:45 PM.

With 10 "A" division teams and 16 "B" division teams competing for their respective division SELC championships, this is sure to be a fun-filled, action-packed weekend of the best college lacrosse played anywhere in the Southeast. The winner of the "A" division championship will go on to represent the SELC at the National Championships in St. Louis, MO. Teams competing include Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Florida, Florida State, North Carolina State, and Tennessee.

Each year, the teams competing have raised the level of play. The players are better; the coaching is better; and team preparations are more in depth than ever before. This year will be no different. It is highly likely that 3 or 4 of the teams competing for the Championship will be ranked nationally in the Top 25. There will also be several All-Americans playing at various positions on these teams.

Besides great Lacrosse, throughout the weekend, we will have giveaways of lacrosse sticks and gear and contests, including a "fastest shot contest" and a "most accurate contest".

In addition, many of the SELC coaches will be present which will provide a great opportunity for high school players interested in playing college lacrosse to introduce themselves to these coaches.

From the South/East and West:

  • Go left off the exit onto 10th St.
  • Go to your 5th light and turn left onto Hemphill Dr
  • When Hemphill ends, turn right onto Ferst Drive. The fields will be on your right about 200 yards. Parking is in a large lot about 400 yards on the left past the field.


This is Astroturf so make sure your team brings the appropriate footwear.
